An innovative push-pull three-way beam-switching lever, a click-stop magnification mechanism and a magnification-limit design further reduce fatigue during long sessions — in line with ergonomic principles.
New click stops at the main magnifications allow precise, repeatable positioning at the same magnification — solving the problem of calculating magnification while observing. The zoom knob turns lightly and comfortably to avoid fatigue.
The Greenough optical system with a 10° stereo convergence angle and wide-field plan eyepieces keeps the image flat across a large depth of field.
With a range of auxiliary objectives, SZN71 magnification extends from 2× to 180× and working distance up to about 280 mm — giving clear, bright images at any magnification for a wide variety of samples and purposes.
Pair with the BL9 ultra-thin base for adjustable color temperature to suit different environments and research needs. The base's LCD shows the illumination value in real time while you adjust brightness, so you can pinpoint the best viewing conditions.
